The ADSL connectivity on the ULC-1000AN allows
advanced services such as VoIP, broadband internet, video on demand,
video conference and TV over DSL delivered to the subscribers and
bring new revenues to operators. It provides full DSLAM functionality
serving up to 160 ports in only 4U of shelf space.
The main component for ULC-1000AN to serve as a DSLAM is ATU-C4/8/16
module, which compose of 4ĦB8 and 16 ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ ports individually.
With different uplink line module served, the ULC-1000AN maybe configured
as either an IP-DSLAM with a Gigabit Ethernet uplink network interface
or as ATM-based DSLAM with 4*E1 or 8*E1 IMA or STM1 IMA uplink network
interface.
When the ULC-1000AN is configured as a DSLAM function, its IGMP
snooping multicasting feature and Quality of service (QoS) capability
provide the connectivity demanded by new services including broadband
internet, voice over IP and video on demand.
